You must read this book before go to animation school. Very fresh look at “what” and “why” different animators do in animation industry.
I think this book have only one small minus – ugly illustrations.

My daughter had this book from the Uni library and from this excellent read was coaxed into getting it for her boyfriend for Christmas. An brilliant book which defines all areas of Animation. Well worth the smiles on Christmas morning.

Somehow I thought this book would help me become my own dojo owner and operator. Man, if I had only read the cover. I was so enamored with the blood red hell of awesomeness! I flipped through all the pages to learn all the secrets of Samurai Jack. I wanted to know all his secrets, and how he was facebook friends with Chuck Norris, Bruce Lee, and Beyonce. These answers eluded me, on the fact that there weren’t a lot of pictures in this book. After about 5 minutes of dreaming I could be Jack’s Facebook friend, I gave up and started my new career as a drawer of assasinators. Art drawers rulee!

I wish I was aware of this book two years ago. Even though I have been doing a few of the recommended activities by rote and ritual that are discussed in this volume to get through these somewhat lean months, it is very comforting to hear from other professionals, and take their advice as given…
Very informative, with quite a bit of data that I was unaware of. I highly recommend it as a great survival guide to this wild ride in one of the most satisfying career choices.
